The geckos posted on this page were not collected from the wild, however they are the captive bred offspring from a wild caught bloodline of leopard geckos. In 2006 we imported a group of captive bred leopard geckos from Europe that were offspring from parents that were originally wild caught in Pakistan. Imports of wild caught leopard geckos into the US were stopped in 2002, but it is legal to import captive bred offspring from a wild caught bloodline. The geckos offered below are F2 offspring from wild caughts (their grandparents were captured in the wild) and represent a completely new bloodline of leopard geckos that is not related to any other leopard geckos in the US. They are very useful for outcrossing, or provide a clean genetic slate (i.e. not het for albino, not carrying jungle genes, etc.) for proving out the genetics of a potential new trait. We are currently working with two subspecies of leopard geckos, Eublepharis macularius macularis, and Eublepharis macularius fasciolatus.
